Diamond Holes Stainless Steel Crimped Wire Mesh Filter Caps - 304 L
Wire mesh filters can be fabricated in a variety of shapes and
sizes to match the dimensions required by your particular
processing system, and our professional design team here at
Hillside Wire Cloth can work with you to create a wire mesh product
that best fits your needs. There are several variables involved in
creating a wire cloth product, from the metal or alloy type to the
weave pattern in the mesh itself, and your input is vital to
providing you with a final product that is ideal.
Wire Mesh Filter is the name given to woven, porous filter media,
which are ideal for separating particles from gases or liquids,
thanks to their aperture and pore size distribution.
Filter meshes can be made from metal, polymers or natural
materials. The materials used define the mechanical properties of
the filter mesh as well as their processing technologies. The mesh
material is selected based on the requirements indicated by the
filtration task and the ambient conditions.
Of all stainless steel wire mesh filter media, metal wire meshes
prove particularly useful due to their very high pore stability,
narrow pore size distribution and high mechanical strength.
How fine do wire mesh filter screens get?
This depends on the thickness of the wire or strand used to make
the mesh. Our screen supplier does not offer any screens finer than
500 mesh. This is because as the mesh number rises, the space
between the wires or strands becomes smaller. At some point the
mesh number becomes so high that the percentage of open area is too
low to be useful. This point is usually somewhere between 450 and
700 mesh depending on the diameter of the wire or filament used.
